CAT isn’t only useful as a formal therapy or training model.
One of the things we’re interested in at CAT Training Australia is how relational ideas can be used more broadly — in supervision, reflective practice and teams.
Our colleagues at Relate & Reflect are doing exactly this
Drawing on relational ideas, including those from CAT, Lenice Murray and Lee Crothers look at how patterns can emerge not only for the people we work with, but between practitioners, within teams and across systems and support supervisors and team to reflect on this.
The focus isn’t on formal CAT training. It’s about developing practical ways for teams and supervisors to notice what is happening relationally, map it together, and create space for shared reflection rather than locating the difficulty in one person.
Because sometimes what keeps us stuck is not simply “in” the person.
It’s in what happens between us.
